Turn off Ctrl+Alt+Del to log into your computer

On most Windows computers, Ctrl+Alt+Delete must be entered before you (the user) is able to log in.  Many users don’t like being required to log in with a username and password into their computer.

It’s very easy to turn off this function so users are not required to enter Ctrl+Alt+Delete to enter the computer.

Here’s how to disable this function.

First, click your Window Start button and click on Run.  Next, type in “netplwiz.exe” and click the “OK” button.

This will open the User Account window.  Click on the Advanced tab and at the bottom of the window uncheck the check box to not require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then click the “OK” button.

Now users won’t have to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to log into the computer.

NOTE: If your computer is joined to a Windows domain, this option will most likely be disabled and won’t be able to be changed.
