Recreate the Calculator shortcut on the desktop in Windows Vista

Many times, users drag and drop the shortcut for the Calculator from the Start menu to the desktop.  When this happens, the shortcut can accidentally be deleted and you will need to recreate the Calculator shortcut.  Here’s how to recreate the calculator shortcut on your Windows Vista desktop.

First, right click anywhere on your desktop and hover over “New” and select the “Shortcut” option.

For the location of the item, type in “calc” and click the “Next” button.

For the name, type in “Calculator” and click the “Finish” button.

You will now see your new calculator shortcut on your desktop.

This is pretty easy to do and it has saved me a lot of headaches so I dont’ have to search my whole comptuer for the calculator.
