In this post, I showed you how to display the Blind Carbon Copy button in Outlook 2007. Due to overwhelming confusion and the defaults in Outlook 2007, I will show you how to add the From field to an email message. When you enable the from field this way, you will always see the field on every new email message that you create.
First, open Microsoft Outlook 2007 and click on the “New” button to open a new email message.

A new email message will now open. Click the “Options” tab at the top of the message and in the Fields section click the “Show From” button.

You will see the From field in the new message and it will remain on every message you now create in Outlook 2007.

Ta, useful.
Is there a way to have Outlook always display the from field ?
Thanks in advance,
JohnBlack
i’ve been looking for it the whole day
THANKS!!!
I wish there was an easy way to set up aliases. I guess I can just type in the different addresses in the From field.
I would love to find a way to have the “Show From” field automatically populated in every new email I send. Is there a way to do this with Outlook 2007 or an add-on?
Thanks man!!
You can “change” the name in the “from” field? Why would MS allow that? Example: I am pissed at the CEO or someone else, I open an email, write some junk, and send it to someone under someone elses name?
And when the mail comes in it doesn’t show “On Behalf Of” or anything like that. I understand it is for “delegation” but it should at least say something to that effect to the receiver.
Appreciate your help.
My 2007 inbox doesn’t show who the email is “from”. When I click on junk email or any other folder in outlook, its show who the emails are from. What happened to the from field?
Very Usefull
I have the same concern as Ron and it’s actually true!
I sent a message to myself from my sister’s email address by just typing her address into the “from” field – and it worked! Worse yet, when I sent a reply, she said it went back to her!
This is simply ridiculous! I can pretend to be anyone I want just by typing their email address? This is a serious security issue and it looks like nothing is being done about it. What’s going on here?
